Sesame

Allow storing/querying/extracting of relative URIs

Created: 22/Oct/04 09:47 AM   Updated: 07/Feb/05 12:14 PM
Component/s: RDBMS Sail, Memory Sail, SeRQL, RQL, RDQL, Extract, Repository API, Native Sail
Affects Version/s: None
Fix Version/s: None

 Description
(See http://www.openrdf.org/forum/mvnforum/viewthread?thread=298 )

Sesame on upload dereferences any relative URIs in the serialization, using 'foo:bar' (in case of file uploads) or the document URL (in case of WWW upload) if the user has not specified a base URI.

Although this behaviour is strictly speaking according to the RDF specs (which imply that only absolute URIs are allowed in RDF graphs), it might be practical in some cases to allow the preservation of relative URIs.
