Sesame 2 is a major update of the Sesame framework and is not backwards compatible with 1.x releases. Sesame 2 has reached the 2.0-final mark in December 2007, after two years of intensive development. With this release, Sesame 2 is now considered to be ready for production use.

• Get the source from Aduna's SVN server, or browse with ViewVC.
• Download maven artifacts from Aduna's maven repository.

With the 2.0-final release, Sesame 1.x has now been put into "maintenance mode". Development on this version is limited to fixing any major issues that might surface. Still, Sesame 1.x has been downloaded thousands of times and has been thoroughly tested by many developers. As such, it probably contains less bugs than Sesame 2.x, but misses some important features that have been added in the 2.x release (e.g. SPARQL querying, contexts).

Elmo is a role based Java persistent bean pool. It provides a simple API to access ontology oriented data inside a Sesame repository.
